Dean’s Bio

Hello, I’m Dean Stanbury. I’ve been happily married to my wife, Lisa, for over 35 years, and after four decades in the Marine Engineering Industry, finishing my career as a Principal Engineer, I felt it was time for a new chapter. Having reached the peak of my profession, I wanted to channel my experience and passion into something that makes a real difference in people’s lives. Teaching others to drive has allowed me to do just that, helping individuals grow in confidence, gain independence, and achieve something truly life changing.

Since 2023, I’ve been a fully qualified automatic driving instructor, and I bring with me decades of experience working with individuals from all walks of life. I’ve supported students, professionals, the elderly, people from a wide range of cultures, and individuals with both physical and neurodiverse needs. My calm, approachable nature allows me to relate easily to others and tailor my teaching to suit each person’s unique learning style.

I’m very person-centred in my approach, I believe everyone deserves to be taught with the utmost respect and to the highest standard. I invest fully in my pupils, always aiming to build their confidence, self-worth, and road skills in a safe and supportive environment.
